Mr. Adam B. Hocherman - Founder & President
Adam founded American Innovative in 2003 and currently serves as the company's President. In addition to running day-to-day operations, he is the inventor of American Innovative's flagship consumer products - including the Neverlate 7-day Alarm Clock and Chef's Quad-Timer.
Prior to founding American Innovative Mr. Hocherman was the VP Engineering at Syncline, Inc., a Boston-based firm specializing in web-based GIS (Geographic Information Systems) solutions. A member of the management team, he was principally in charge of the company's engineering department. In addition Mr. Hocherman served as the primary client engagement manager for most of the large-scale project work completed at the firm.
Before Syncline, Mr. Hocherman spent several years as part of Accenture's (formerly Andersen Consulting) Internet Center of Excellence in Boston. The Internet Center (or ICE) was part of a then-fledging network of niche development arms within Andersen Consulting responsible for the very first Internet technology projects procured by the global firm. At the ICE center Mr. Hocherman was responsible for the architecture and development of large-scale, Java-based Enterprise Internet projects.
Adam holds a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (Automotive Design concentration) and an MBA, both from Cornell University.
Mr. Barry Wolfield - Advisory Board
Mr. Wolfield brings a depth and breadth of Product Development and Retail experience to American Innovative. He is currently an Executive Partner within Accenture's Technology Practice. In this role, his focus is on the technology strategy and program management of a wide range of products and services across a diverse group of clients.
In addition to his experience at Accenture, Mr. Wolfield has also worked with dozens of early stage companies during his tenure at Razorfish where he ran the North American Startup Practice. Prior to consulting, he worked in a number of high-tech manufacturing companies building leading communications systems.
Mr. Wolfield holds an MS in Computer Science from Renssellaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from SUNY Albany. Mr. Wolfield also sits on the advisory board of Nexus Global Partners and was previously an adjunct professor at Hartford State Technical College.
Mr. Matthew Gentile - Advisory Board
Mr. Gentile has nearly 10 years of experience in technology start-ups having founded his first, Syncline, Inc., in 1997. Now in his second major venture, Mr. Gentile is currently the CEO of Traverse Technologies, a consulting firm that specializes in the design and development of web-enabled software systems that feature mapping (GIS) as a core ingredient.
Prior to taking the entrepreneurial path Mr. Gentile was a consultant to the property-casualty insurance industry researching catastrophic risk management solutions for natural hazards at the Institute for Business and Home Safety. Mr. Gentile worked as a White House staffer from 1993-1995 in the Office on Environmental Policy. He holds a Master's Degree from MIT and a B.S. from Indiana University.
Mr. Marc Tremblay - Advisory Board
Marc is currently employed with Thermo Fisher Scientific (NYSE: TMO), where he is the VP and General Manager of the company’s line of handheld elemental and molecular analyzers. The products are used in a broad range of applications, including testing of children’s products for hazardous substances, such as lead and cadmium. Most recently, Marc was at DigitalGlobe, Inc. (NYSE: DGI) where he was SVP & General Manager of the company's Commercial Business Unit. DigitalGlobe is a leading provider of geospatial imagery and related services serving customers such as Google, Microsoft, Ask.com and Zillow.
Previously, Marc was VP Business Development & Product Management for Z Corporation, which was successfully sold to Contex Scanning. The company develops, manufactures, and markets the world's fastest 3D Printers. Prior to Z Corporation Marc was the CEO of Syncline, a cutting-edge provider of ASP solutions and standards-based GIS Web Services. Before joining Syncline, Marc was VP of Engineering and Operations at Virtual Technologies, which sold hardware and software solutions for high-end visual simulations. The company was acquired by Immersion Corp.
Marc holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Brian Myerholtz - Advisory Board
Brian Myerholtz is a Principal with the Boston Consulting Group, serving engineered product manufacturers in both the consumer and industrial spaces. His work has covered a broad range of strategic issues including new market entry, supply chain and distribution management, retail effectiveness, and product development among others. Brian is a core member of BCG’s Operations and Corporate Development practice areas.
Prior to joining BCG, Mr. Myerholtz was a Consultant with Accenture. As part of the Media and Entertainment Strategy practice, he specialized in procurement strategy, small business development and IT system design.
Mr. Myerholtz was a Tuck Scholar at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.
