How to Request an RMA for Warranty Service:
This page contains information about returning a defective product to American Innovative for warranty service. In many instances, problems with your product may be able to be resolved via e-mail. If you are not sure whether or not your product is defective or if you have a question about product behavior that you think is abnormal, please use the same form below. If you are simply looking to return a new, unused item under the AI 30-day return policy, please click here.

Before shipping any item back to AI you must request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. To do so, please review the information below and then fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

Warranty Service Information:
All AI products purchased in the United States are covered by a limited manufacturer's warranty. Please check the instruction manual that came with your product for warranty information specific to your product. Please note that we can only service units purchased within the United States. For international service please contact your local distributor.

We are sorry to hear that you are having an issue with your American Innovative product. If your product is still under warranty, we will happy to repair or replace it at no cost to you. Products returned to AI for service that were not purchased directly from AI must be accompanied by proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale or receipted invoice which is evidence that the unit is within the warranty period. If your product is no longer under warranty, please read "Out of Warranty Repairs", below.

If your product is within the warranty period and you would like to request an RMA number for repair or replacement, please fill out the form below. An AI customer service representative will reply to your e-mail with further information about how to package your return and where to send it.

Return Shipping Policy:
American Innovative will reimburse you for the freight cost required to return your defective merchandise to the company if the product returned is confirmed to be defective. Freight reimbursement will be issued via check at the time of shipment of the replacement or return of your repaired product. In no event will the freight cost reimbursed exceed $7. Out of warranty repairs do not qualify for freight reimbursement. AI does not issue pre-paid return shipping labels.

Prior to returning your product to AI, please confirm that it is, in fact, defective. Many issues that we hear about often stem from simple misunderstandings about product functionality. Resolutions to many common issues may be reviewed (organized by product) in the AI F.A.Q. If your issue is of a more specific nature, please articulate the problem clearly in the "Reason for RMA Request" form below.

Out of Warranty Repairs:
If your product is beyond the warranty period and you would still like to return it to AI for service, there is a $25 fee that covers repair or replacement, as well as return shipping. An AI customer service representative will supply further information in response to your RMA request below. AI does not reimburse inbound shipping costs for out-of-warranty repairs.

Duration of the warranty period varies by product type. Warranty duration for Roadshow Travel Alarm is one (1) year from date of purchase. Warranty duration for all other products is ninety (90) days. Please check the back of your instruction manual for further details.
